Practical limits
- Set a spending limit you can afford to lose and a clear time limit.
- Never borrow money to gamble or use money needed for essentials.
- Do not chase losses, gamble while impaired or treat betting as an investment.
- Use deposit, wager and time limits, account time-outs and self-exclusion tools.
- Keep gambling accounts and devices inaccessible to minors.
Warning signs
Hiding gambling, repeatedly exceeding limits, borrowing to continue, or neglecting work and relationships can indicate harm. You do not need to wait for a crisis to seek support.
Self-exclusion
Ask the sportsbook about account restrictions and check your state regulator’s self-exclusion program. Exclusion from one operator may not automatically cover every other operator or jurisdiction.
